- A list of U.S. university and community college home pages arranged by state and alphabetically. Includes both private and public institutions. Maintained by the University of Texas-Austin.

- Provides a searchable listing of funding opportunities in many fields. Despite the name, this is a multi-disciplinary search engine with information for researchers and students in all areas.
- GuideStar.org
- Designed to link students and researchers with information about the U.S. non-profit community and the funding options they can provide.
- Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance Programs
- Search a database of federal aid programs for those available for educational expenses.
- fastWEB (Financial Aid Search Through the WEB)
- A database of more than 180,000 scholarships, fellowships, grants, and loans. To use, create a detailed self-profile through a series of online forms. When complete, fastWEB responds with a list of matching programs.
- Federal Student Aid
- From the U.S. Department of Education, has a variety of information, including a Student Guide, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), information about repaying student loans, and the current Title IV School Code List .
- FinAid
- Promoted as "the smart student guide to financial aid." Provides information on scholarships, loans, savings, an aid calculator, and lots more.
- Peterson's Financing Education
- Information about financial aid including organizations offering financial aid services, a financial aid FAQ, glossary of terms, and an admissions calendar.
- SallieMae
- Information on student loans, scholarships, grants, and work-study opportunities from Sallie Mae, provider of many guaranteed student loans.
