  • The most comprehensive bibliographic database covering the chemical literature. You will need to register, using your utk.edu e-mail address, for a personal SciFinder username and password.

  • Beilstein/Gmelin CrossFire 1771-
  • Beilstein provides information on more than 10 million organic compounds with searchable chemical structures, reactions, property data from the primary organic chemistry literature back to 1771. Gmelin contains over 2 million inorganic and organometallic compounds along with their chemical and physical properties and reactions.

  • Web of Science 1900 -
  • Covering over 5,900 peer-reviewed science journals, Web of Science is an excellent database to search multidisciplinary areas and should be used in conjunction with SciFinder.

  • Dissertations Abstracts 1861-
  • Citations and abstracts for selected U.S., Canadian, British, and other European doctoral dissertations and master's theses.
