Employment Opportunities and Job Resources on the Internet: Also known as the Riley Guide, this comprehensive list of job links includes information on using the Internet for a job search. Locate information by profession or geographic area. Find government positions and international opportunities. Co-ops, internships, and summer jobs are also included.
UT Career Services: UT's own Career Services has a web page that will lead UT students, alumni, and their potential employers to valuable career and job information.

JobWeb: A gateway to career information for both recent graduates and experienced job seekers, sponsored by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
Monster.com: This site is tops with many college job seekers. Post a resume or use the search engine to browse job listings by industry or location.

Occupational Outlook Handbook: The handbook is the U.S. government's premier publication on careers, providing information about changes in the world of work and the qualifications that will be needed by tomorrow's workers.

America's Job Bank: A service of the U.S. Dept. of Labor, this site connects both state employment offices and thousands of job openings nationwide from professional to clerical.
CareerBuilder: Search job ads placed in major newspapers across the U.S. in the last two weeks. Remember that classified ads traditionally are not the most effective way to find job openings, nor are they usually targeted to entry-level job seekers.
Federal Jobs Digest: Thousands of jobs with the federal government listed in 17 broad categories. Register your resume online for federal employers to browse.
Fed World: The U.S. government's official job announcements site from the Office of Personnel Management, updated daily. Many federal agencies also list job openings on their individual web sites.
Job Bank USA: Specializes in providing job and resume services to job candidates, employers, and recruitment firms in the U.S. and worldwide.
Military Career Guide Online: Describes training, advancement, and educational opportunities within each of the five mililtary branches. Includes details of over 150 military occupations.
Tennessee Employment and Opportunities: Search for work in Tennessee or nationally through links to other state employment service websites.

Coolworks: Links to 40,000+ jobs for the summer in national parks, resorts, camps, ranches, cruises, and more. Search by location or skills.
InternshipPrograms.com: A top web site for internship seekers. Research and apply to hundreds of internship programs from this site.

Peterson's Education Center: Useful for researching graduate school programs, including links to schools and programs. Also included is information on graduate programs at foreign universities.
Graduate School Rankings: From U.S. News & World Report, the annual rankings. Professionals debate their value, but students love them--use with caution.
GRE Online: Contains information about GRE test dates and answers questions about the electronic version of the test.
MBA.com: From the Graduate Management Admission Council, features information about applying to graduate business school and financing an MBA. You can register for the GMAT and review more than 400 graduate management programs.
Law School Admissions Council: Has links to all law school programs with websites, plus Law School Forum dates and electronic registration for the LSAT.
AAMC Website: Comprehensive site including information on medical schools, the Association of American Medical Colleges, and applicant information.

Work Abroad Web Sites Directory: A guide to overseas employment sites of all kinds, prepared by the University of Michigan. Includes volunteering, teaching, short and long term employment, plus profession and region specific sites.
One Small Planet: Contains links to work, study, volunteer and travel opportunities for virtually every country. Also provided is information on visa requirements as well as links, when available, about the countries' history, culture, literature, and more.
Transitions Abroad: Inludes articles and other information about work, study, travel and living abroad. Lots of practical advice for both novices and experienced travelers and dozens of links to related information on other websites.

JobStar Central: A comprehensive listing of salary survey sites linked to specific professions can be found here.
The Salary Calculator: Imagine an offer of $50,000 a year in Atlanta--would it cover your expenses? Find answers by exploring salary and cost-of-living calculations at this website. Also has information about cities, finding a home or apartment, and planning a move.
Salary.com: Offers in-depth coverage of salary information for thousands of job titles--both base pay and salary ranges for specific locations and much more. Probably the best salary site on the Web.
Money's Best Places to Live in America: Based on Money magazine's annual list of the best places to live in America, has statistical snapshots and cost of living comparisons.
