Nathalie
Hristov, Assistant Professor & Music Librarian for Tech Services.
Nathalie works as the professional cataloger for music. She is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the cataloging and processing of music materials. She also provides collection development, reference, and bibliographic instructional services for the School of Music faculty and students. Originally from Puerto Rico, Nathalie holds a Bachelors of Music in
Cello Performance and a Masters in Library and Information Science from
LSU. Among her favorite activities are playing chamber music with friends,
reading, swimming, and hiking. These days, her loving husband, adorable
son and baby daughter occupy most of her free time
Chris
Durman, Music Librarian for Public Services.
Chris Durman is responsible for public services in the Music Library. He supervises the staff, offers help on the reference desk, provides instruction, and works to build the Music Library collection. Call on Chris for consultation for your music research needs.
Chris holds a Master of Science in Information Science from the University
of Tennessee. He also gardens a little, and nurtures an abiding interest
in various forms of American folk and popular music. He, his wife (Candice),
and their son (Will) make their home in Jefferson City.
Connie
Steigenga, Library Supervisor I (Daytime).
Connie serves as the daytime supervisor for the Music Library. She is primarily responsible for course reserve and circulation assistance. Contact her for assistance with music library reserve or circulation questions.
She holds a Baccalaureate of Music Education from the University of
Southern Mississippi, a Master of Music in Music Education from the
University of Tennessee, and is currently a graduate student in the
School of Information Science at the University of Tennessee. Connie’s
musical background consists of over a decade of training on the bassoon,
flute, and clarinet as well as band and orchestral ensemble experiences.
In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, hiking, camping, and attending
renaissance festivals.
Matt
Jordan, Library Supervisor I (Sunday/Evening).
Matt Jordan serves as the Sunday and evening supervisor for the Music Library. He is primarily responsible for maintaining our computers, the Music Library website, and providing evening/Sunday reference and circulation services. His responsibilities also include technical processing for the branch library.
Matt is currently a graduate student in the School of Information Sciences
at the University of Tennessee. He is a lifelong piano player and more
recently a guitarist and songwriter. Additionally, in his spare time
he enjoys writing and photography.

We are proud of the student library assistants who staff our circulation
desk. Through the years many of them have been recognized library-wide
for their outstanding service to the Libraries.
