What is ILLiad?
ILLiad is the service you use to place orders for interlibrary loans, campus deliveries, storage retreivals, and distance education material requests.
What about the UT Libraries Catalog?
Use the catalog to request delivery or library pick-up for books, journals, maps, microfilm, etc. that UT owns.
Why Register?
To request an item through UT Interlibrary Services or to use other document delivery services such as Library Express or Distance Ed Services, you must first log in and register in ILLiad. That way UT staff knows who you are, what you want, and where you want it delivered.
Who can Answer Your Questions?
Call ILS offices using the number and hours listed to the left. You may also stop by in person or send email.
How To Log-in: NetID and Password
To log into ILLiad for your first time registration and for all subsequent log-ins, you will use your UT NetID and Password. UT's DII provides information on the NetID.
If you have trouble finding or using your NetID, contact the DII HelpDesk.
Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions
Use of copyright protected materials (e.g. photocopies, .pdf's) is governed by these restrictions. By using ILLiad, you also agree to these terms.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
