How do I know if my professor put anything on reserve?
The reserve department does not solicit material from professors; they must come to reserve and make a request. So a good rule of thumb is, "If your professor did not say there is something on reserve for that class, then there is not anything on reserve." A second strategy is to go into the Online Catalog. On the right side of the screen is a link for Course Reserves.

How are material shelved?
The material is shelved according to its call number. The possible material call numbers are:
- Personal copy: (professor's name)
- These are shelved behind the Second Floor Circulation desk.
- Library Book
- These are stored behind the Second Floor Circulation Desk and are in call number order. These books use the
Library of Congress call numbers.

Is there a test file?
No, there is no such thing as a test file. In a few instances professors have placed old tests on reserve. Since we
work on a request basis if your professor did not say he put anything on reserve then he does not have anything on
reserve.

Does Reserve have course syllabi?
We only have course syllabi if a professor specifically put it on reserve. We do have some older syllabi from around
1995 that were collected by the Student Government Association. These are kept behind the service desk as a Personal copy
under UTK.

Can I use my Volcard account to make copies?
No, the only way to pay for copies without using cash is to use a CopyCard. You may put money on a CopyCard at the CopyCard Plus dispensers located
in the Commons and the 2nd floor checkout area. You can also use change to add money to your card if you are at one of
the copy machines. You may also put money on a CopyCard at the Second Floor Circulation Desk by using your AllStar account or a Credit Card.

Where do I get a Copycard?
There is a CopyCard Plus Dispenser in the Commons and close to the
Main Circulation Desk. You can take a card from the recycle box on top of the machine or a card can be acquired by
putting a $1 bill in the machine. It will give you a card with $1's worth of credit on it.
